Case Study: The Vancouver Division of Family Practice
The Vancouver Division of Family Practice provides support services for family physicians in the city. In Rose Agency they have a turnkey marketing department, capable of communicating technical concepts in a readable and relatable manner. In addition to website development and social media, Rose Agency profiles Division initiatives, develops physician resources, oversaw wide-scale CRM website integration, and established a broadly used brand guidelines document.
Family doctors face several challenges that their hospitalist colleagues do not: these include running a clinic, paying rent, and staffing. The Vancouver Division of Family Practice exists to support these family doctors, helping ensure that the path remains an attractive one for medical students. Rose Agency provides a wide range of communications and platform services to the Division, helping them as they help family doctors.
A Turkey Marketing Department in the Public Sector
With no marketing professionals on staff, the Division turns to Rose Agency for a turnkey marketing operation. As long-time, trusted partners of the Division, we’ve delivered a full suite of services, including website development, social media management, content marketing system creation, and more.
Making Complex Communications Personal
Family doctors are a unique, specialized, and highly intelligent audience, but that doesn’t mean that all communications have to read like a scientific journal. Rose Agency is tasked with conveying complex medical events, tools, and initiatives in a personal and consumable manner. To increase engagement, we focus on the local nature of the Division’s efforts.
Case in point is a feature Rose Agency created on a Division initiative that helped family doctors better coordinate with in-clinic pharmacists. By interviewing clinic owners, nurse practitioners, and other medical professionals, we were able to illustrate the Division’s impact using real names, faces, and stories. The benefits are real. The technical is made personal.
Developing Microsite Resources for Physicians
In addition to redesigning the Vancouver Division’s main website, we’ve also developed various microsites in support of special initiatives. Among these have been a site that serves as a maternity care resource, and another that assists those who are experiencing trouble accessing government supported health care. Physicians appreciate these useful hubs, recommending them to patients or using them for their own reference.
CRM Website API Integration
Among Rose’s loftiest and most successful initiatives for the Vancouver Division has been the CRM website integration project. This platform allows medical professionals, including nurses and office assistants, to plug into the CRM via a user-friendly website dashboard.
The advanced project was highly technical in nature, but the results have been well worth the while. Updating clinic information, RSVPing for special events, onboarding new members, and even tracking payments can now be easily achieved. Administrative work has been eliminated, leaving more time for clinic staff to perform high value tasks.
Brand Guidelines Document Allows Division to Take Ownership of Content
While cursory brand guidelines, including colour and font, were laid down by the overarching Division of BC, Rose Agency created a more extensive brand guidelines document to assist the Vancouver Division’s various departments. Chart templates, presentation templates, and letterhead allows these departments to take ownership of content, improve processes, and communicate more effectively. These efforts are all in the name of internal process democratization so that teams can produce the content and reports they need without it bottlenecking through the marketing department.
